We've seen in previous posts the likely form of the expect it to look something like this for spin:

High-Speed Camera Setup
The procedure uses high-speed cameras to capture the ball's motion during and after impact, with a minimum frame rate of 4600 FPS. This setup allows for detailed frame-by-frame analysis to determine the ball's spin rate.
2.2 Motion Tracking Software
The Phantom Camera Control (PCC) software is used to analyze the video footage. The spin rate is calculated by analyzing 50 consecutive frames, starting from the first post-impact frame.
2.3 Ball Markings
Balls are marked with motion tracking markings in each of the four quadrants. These markings help in tracking the ball's rotation during flight.
Currently the procedure being suggested by PPL cannot be expected to produce meaningful results. I want to reiterate that under current market conditions there is next to no pressure for meaningful testing. Like PBCoR the suggested spin procedure not only doesn't consider external factors, and PPL verbatim says they could do better, This is not the way to build an enduring sport. Creating rules based on outcomes has devestating results and lies to everyone.
The fact is, game breaking paddles already exist. They are no threat to the game and never would be if they were sold. Big name pros not only have a vested interested in playing the game they currently play, they have a physical and psychological interest. Why would they of all people wreck their own job? Ask yourself, would you bring a BB gun to work for fun? Maybe on some jobs. This histeria must stop and a real foundation based on improving and optmizing paddles based on real science and engineering principles. That the sport lacks this vision means it lacks a future.
