Paddle Regulation Matters - CoreTek Pickleball LLC

Paddle Regulation Matters

If you play pickleball in some way shape or form paddle regulation effects you. The trends that are set by what is available, what is used, etc in terms of equipment are very important. We don't want to become an oddball paddle company making paddles that are totally unconventional. Our goal is to make paddles that people can use in both rec and pro play interchangeably.

The situation with the UPA is a mess. Frankly we would never submit our paddles to that lab. When we were doing research on coefficient of restitution we found quite a bit on them and seeing the name wasn't surprising.

It's important to have coherent rules. It's very important to have real justification for creating any type of regulation as the consequence of over regulation is well known. If we want to regulate equipment we should be clear about the goals. Not try to do things through indirect regulation. Bigger organizations have these. They're certainly is an amount of collaboration at high levels. This can never be a good thing. When you look at the board of the UPA it says everything in itself. It's important that players take some note of what goes on in terms of manufacturing and we will never shy away from trying to inform players. We think that players are more than intelligent enough to make their own decisions based on how they play pickleball. CoreTek Pickleball will always make it our goal to provide the best possible equipment and try and be informative about the state of the sport.
