The recent USAPA removal of certain major Generation 3 paddles from their listing of approved paddles is a very concerning trend for us. Although the paddles in question based on our understanding do presume to work on a mechanism that maybe of questionable legality we have no doubt that these paddles function in a way that is normal.
This sort of stealth action is a major slight to players and crushing to innovation within a new industry. The paddles that we play with now should absolutely not be the end product that we leave as a legacy to future players.
We strongly believe that any action taken against paddles must be either announced well ahead of time or made clear to manufacturers so they do not make design investments that are recalled at a whim. We hope to see effected designs back on the court and professional play soon.
To make very clear our paddles are approved for tournament play and listed as approved. This post concerns another brand.
