CoreTek Pickleball very much wishes to be part of pickleball at the highest level and we believe very strongly our technology is of the highest caliber. However with recent events involving USAP and certain companies present on the board of the UPA we cannot consider it reasonable to apply to this organization. In addition we have also found that their standards have not yet been listed and what we have found of them through other channels are not promising. We do not want to build paddles to UPA specs as it would mean abandoning our manufacturer and our designs.
We will also mention the high fees of this organization of $100,000 per year are quite prohibitive. These are also a factor in our decision making. The primary factor is that this organization at its core seems to be adverse to competition. We think this is not within the spirit of the sport and do not wish to participate in it.
