PBcor formally being introduced. Whatever happened to exit velocity?

As was predicted months ago by us and first formerly covered by us the usap is now introducing coefficient of restitution testing. This is something we have covered in the past and the way they are going about it is poor. Asking all manufacturers who they think the most powerful paddles on the market is an incredibly loaded question and one they should be asking players. 

I just discovered this non-surprising but somewhat heartbreaking email after getting out of the hospital and I will be covering the exact mathematics and what they are requiring in a future posts when I feel better. We encourage players to inquire about this and take part as as of now the usap is pretty much excluding them and letting manufacturers make all the decisions.
