This must be said. No one has argued against this seriously. No one will be able to argue against this statement seriously. Pickleball coefficient of restitution is not equivalent to coefficient of restitution per se. It is a test that was created by the usap. Furthermore coefficient of restitution is not a property of a paddle or a ball.

The usap cor procedure measures almost exclusively the properties of the ball. It is patently insane to postulate that measurements of a ball could say anything definitively about the physical properties of a paddle. Yet these companies have apparently cooperated are working to unless their paddles and are working with the usap. I do not believe they can be working as there is nothing to work around.

I am sending an open letter to all of these companies that will follow. I challenge one of them to answer to me what this test measures. I further challenge them to stay one physical property of a paddle this test can say that it has achieved measuring. In the context of all the paddle removals this is a joke. This sport is eventually in for serious trouble.

If you think I'm insane these are simple questions. Even the best in the pickleball industry won't be able to answer them. It's because this test doesn't affect them for the most part but the fact is a rule that has no basis in reality has affected thousands of players.

In the context of this the usap removing paddles from any sort of certification is not acceptable.
